How To Live 101
Are you living or just alive?
To truly live your life, you need to be present, contribute to the act of being alive, and understand what it entails. You might think ‘‘Oh, but I am alive, I'm breathing and eating and sleeping.’’ You are alive, that doesn't mean you're living said life.
You can't say you've lived a full life, on your deathbed, when your heart hasn't broken for a forbidden, young love once. Or when you chose the safety of your mundane, boring, uneventful routine over trying to experience something new. You were afraid of trying to draw or write because no one taught you that if you were scared to do something, you should do it while you are scared.
Refuse to sit aside and watch your life pass by without participating in it. Claim your mind, soul, and body. Go to a party and lose yourself in strangers. Take a book and read in public. Start learning pottery. Do whatever you're afraid to do, for you cannot experience life unless you feel the fear of the unknown and the adrenaline of the new experience washing over your body.
This quote by Camus is amazing. It triggered a chain of thoughts, so i wrote them here the moment I read it.
